LINCOLN, Neb. — The Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) is calling on students from first through sixth grades to participate in its annual poster contest.
This year’s theme, “Nebraska Agriculture: Building the Future,” aims to highlight the state’s leading industry.
NDA Director Sherry Vinton emphasized the importance of agriculture, stating, “With advancements in fuel and resources, agriculture truly is building the future and the future of agriculture is the students today.”
The contest encourages students to explore the origins of food and to introduce innovative ideas to the agricultural field.
Winners will be announced during National Agriculture Week, March 15-21, 2026, and their entries will be featured on the NDA website and in promotional materials.
The contest is divided into three age categories, and entries must be submitted by March 2, 2026. More information and entry forms are available online.
