Escape From Tarkov has officially gone gold ahead of it’s release in a few weeks time, marking the end of the development for the 1.0 build.
In a post on social media, game director Nikita Buyanov confirmed that Escape From Tarkov has gone gold, with development work on the 1.0 build now fully complete and ready to go for the game’s launch on November 15.
“Escape from Tarkov has gone gold! The final version is complete — production is finished, and the final countdown to release has begun. Years of hard work, testing, and refinement have peaked in the result we’ve all been waiting for,” said Buyanov. “For us, this is more than just a date on the calendar — it is a symbol of the journey we’ve traveled together with the community. Thank you for your unwavering support and feedback over these 10 years. Your ideas have helped breathe life and depth into the game.”
With the game having gone gold and development completed, all eyes now turn to the launch campaign, which has been weirdly muted so far. Even for a new wipe we would likely have had a TarkovTV stream by this point showing off a lot of the new features, and maybe even a cool new trailer. However, for the launch it seems most of the focus has been on taking the game to expos with little in the way of official content coming from those.
Hopefully with launch just a couple of weeks away the marketing efforts will start to kick up a notch, and we can start to get a look at the final version of Tarkov. We do know that the big addition will be the story content and the fact you will be able to escape from Tarkov, but with so few people expected to actually see the ending of that, there is hope that some more features for early game players will also be released.
Escape From Tarkov is set to launch on November 15, with the game being available through the Battlestate Games launcher and Steam. The launch will bring a new wipe for players, that includes one of the biggest patches in years with tons of new story content and new features.
