Alanna Gold shares a serious love of real estate with her husband, Adam Gold.
The Selling Sunset star and her husband own several properties together in a small, western-themed town near Joshua Tree, Calif. Speaking to PEOPLE in September 2024, Alanna explained that she and Adam opted to buy a portion of Pioneertown because of their “deep connection to the desert” and desire to preserve the historical town.
“We’ve always really loved it, and it was actually where we went for one of our first trips,” she said. “We always knew we wanted to own a piece of property out there or be a part of the community somehow.” The couple, who married in 2022, even had their wedding in the Old West town, which Alanna described as “an honor.”
While Adam prefers to stay out of the spotlight, the former model and luxury realtor has shared plenty of photos and loving tributes to her husband on social media.
“Happy Birthday to this handsome man who I am so lucky to call my Husband,” she wrote in a 2023 Instagram post. “My partner, my best friend, my family, my rock. I love you – Can’t wait to see what this next year has in store.”

Before going into luxury real estate, Alanna was actually planning to become a veterinarian. While studying, though, she was discovered by a modeling agency and seized the opportunity. Alanna had a successful career as a model, but during the pandemic, she decided to pivot once again.
“When everything kind of shut down, I knew that was an amazing chance to get my license. So I really spent those months just studying and I went for my license and got it,” she told PEOPLE in September 2024. “When I started working in this industry, I loved it and I realized that I didn’t want to go back into modeling. I really wanted to put all my time into real estate.”
Adam, meanwhile, also has a background in real estate and hospitality. According to his LinkedIn, he went to the University of Southern California, where he got a bachelor’s degree in urban planning and real estate development. He previously worked as a project manager for Landmark Retail Group, a real estate company that caters to restaurants and retail tenants.
Aside from their shared professional interests, the couple also have a personal interest in property development. In 2020, they purchased a small stake in Pioneertown, a historic desert town in San Bernardino County, Calif.
“When we learned that a large portion of Pioneertown was for sale, we saw an incredible opportunity not only to strengthen our ties to the community but also to preserve a piece of history,” she told PEOPLE.

Following her initial claims of “owning” Pioneertown and receiving backlash from the residents, Alanna apologized and clarified her statements, noting that she and Adam only own a few properties, not the entire town.
“I am so sorry to the people of Pioneertown, I would never want to disrespect the town’s history or any of the people who make it such a wonderful place,” she said in a statement. “I absolutely love Pioneertown and I simply got too excited talking about it.”
She went on to say that her excitement stemmed from the fact that she and Adam have such a personal connection to the town. “My first date with my husband was there, and our wedding was at the Soundstage,” she said, adding that they bought a house and several properties in the town out of a desire to “become part of the community.”

Speaking to PEOPLE in September 2024, the former model admitted that she was initially unsure about becoming a reality TV star, but that she ultimately “jumped at” the opportunity when it was presented.
“There was a little bit of hesitation there of course, and just thinking about how it will change my life,” she said. “It was this big shift and I really had to evaluate.”
Adam was a big part of her decision and his encouragement helped her take the leap. “He was very helpful through the process and I think he was actually one reason why I felt very confident to be able to do it,” she said. “I knew I had his support and I knew we’re a team through everything.”
