
The Montana Department of Agriculture is taking applications for over $2.7 million in federal funding available through the Specialty Crop Block Grant program.
The point of this grant is to increase competitiveness of specialty crops in the Treasure State.
This includes fruits and vegetables. Peas, lentils, dried fruit, horticulture, nursery crops and floriculture.
State and local organizations, government entities, nonprofits and more are eligible to apply.
Officials say eligible projects include improving efficiency and sustainability of specialty crop industries, research, education and more.
Grant proposals are due on Feb. 27 to the MDA by 5 p.m.
A technical assistance call will be held on Feb. 18 at 1 p.m.
