Schedule of 61st Annual Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo Events


STATE FAIRGROUNDS – Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson invites everyone to attend the 61st annual Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo and announces the schedule of events taking place tomorrow, Tuesday, February 3, and Wednesday, February 4. All events take place on the Mississippi State Fairgrounds.

The Dixie National Junior Round-Up Livestock Shows featuring 4-H and FFA students from across the state kick off tomorrow, Tuesday, February 3, in Barn 14. Youth exhibitors will compete in goat shows on February 3, and the lamb and sheep shows will take place on February 4.

Scheduled Activities & Events for Tuesday, February 3, 2026:

  • 8:00 a.m. – Meat Goat Shows, Goat Showmanship, Commercial Meat Goat Doe Show, Market Goat Show – Judging Arena/Barn 14
  • 3:00 p.m. – Registered Boer Goat Shows, Boer Goat Showmanship, Boer Goat Shows – Judging Arena/Barn 14

Scheduled Activities & Events for Wednesday, February 4, 2026:

  • 8:00 a.m. – Lamb and Hair Sheep Shows, Lamb Showmanship, Wether Dams, Market Lambs, Hair Sheep Showmanship, Breeding Hair Sheep, Market Hair Sheep – Judging Arena/Barn 1.

In conjunction with the nationwide America250 celebrations, this year’s Dixie National will take on a special patriotic focus. Events of the 61st Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo run through Sunday, February 22, 2026. The Dixie National Rodeo, the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi River, takes place Friday, February 13, through Saturday, February 21, inside the Mississippi Coliseum at the State Fairgrounds.
