There will be something for everyone to enjoy at Aims Community College’s Agriculture Day Open House on Tuesday, March 31.

The free, family-friendly event will occur from 5 to 7 p.m. at Aims’ Fort Lupton Campus, 260 College Ave.

The Aims Agriculture Club will host a petting farm featuring sheep, goats, alpacas and other livestock.

Attendees can see newly hatched chicks in the agricultural sciences classroom and learn about poultry care and incubation.

Colorado State University’s Sci on the Fly program is slated to conduct agriculture science demonstrations, and Dairy MAX will share information about dairy farming.

Aims’ commercial driver license training program will feature its commercial truck driving simulator, allowing visitors to experience what it is like to operate a large truck. Aims’ welding program will also host interactive activities highlighting its role in supporting agriculture industries.

Georgia Boys BBQ will be on site with a food truck.

Weld County is the leading agricultural county in Colorado and one of the top agricultural producing regions in the United States.
