The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has announced 42 finalists for the 2025 Global Fintech Hackcelerator and the Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) Fintech Excellence Awards.

Winners will be revealed at the SFF Fintech Excellence Awards dinner on 13 November.

This year’s Global Fintech Hackcelerator, organised by MAS in partnership with the Global Finance Technology Network (GFTN), focuses on the theme “AI for Financial Services”.

The 18 finalists submitted AI-driven, market-ready solutions aimed at addressing challenges within the financial services sector and improving outcomes for institutions and clients.

The finalists will take part in a four-day programme involving mentorship and engagement with corporates, investors, and industry professionals to refine their solutions.

They will present their ideas at the Global Fintech Hackcelerator Demo Day during SFF on 12 November.

The top three winners will each receive S$80,000 in prize money. Corporate Champions may also select finalists for pilot projects, subject to mutual agreement.

A new feature this year includes participation from five Investment Partners, representing venture capital firms that have committed approximately S$2.5 million in potential investments, subject to due diligence.

The SFF Fintech Excellence Awards, jointly organised by MAS and the Singapore Fintech Association (SFA) with support from PwC Singapore, recognise corporates and individuals driving innovation in the financial technology sector.

The 2025 Awards focus on AI-led initiatives that promote growth, inclusion, and improved financial service delivery.

A total of 155 submissions were received across six award categories.

For the five corporate categories, 130 submissions were received, with four finalists shortlisted for each.

The individual Fintech Mentor Award category received 20 submissions, with four finalists selected.

The ‘Fintech Gives Back’ initiative, now in its third year, saw contributions from nine fintech community members, Ripple, Visa, HeyMax, Aspire, Experian, Lexis Nexis, Sumsub, Syfe, and YouTrip, in support of the Awards.
