Samara Shepherd joined Vinson & Elkins as a partner in its investment funds practice in Houston, the firm announced Wednesday.
Shepherd represents both established and emerging fund managers and guides first-time fund managers through launching their inaugural funds. Her practice spans fund sizes, structures, and strategies, including sponsors focused on energy and infrastructure sectors and growth and buyout thematic investments, the firm said.
She joins from Kirkland & Ellis.
