Cloudwerx has hired Accenture managing director Brendan Connolly as part of a push by the fast-growing IT consultancy to challenge its larger rivals with a fixed-price service.
Connolly will become the start-up’s chief operating officer and its data and AI leader. He said the firm’s approach to installing cloud-based software products allowed it to charge clients a set price for “delivery units” and avoid the cost overruns typical of large software projects.
