Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has invited high net worth individuals (HNIs), angel investors, NRIs and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to participate in Cheque Mate, the flagship investor–startup engagement programme. The event will be held on the sidelines of the three-day Huddle Global 2025 startup festival at Kovalam from Dec 11.An exclusive platform beyond conventional pitching sessions, Cheque Mate at Huddle Global 2025 offers a unique opportunity for HNIs, angel investors, high-value MSME units, NRIs, businessmen and entrepreneurs to invest in startups. KSUM would provide a full-fledged validation for the investors, said a statement. Through this democratised investment platform, KSUM aims to tap into the diversification of untapped traditional industries through technological innovations of startups, thereby creating collaborations through investment. It is designed for startups that are poised for scaling up and investors from all sectors seeking high-potential opportunities. This offers curated one-on-one meetings, enabling investors to directly engage with specifically selected startups from emerging sectors such as deeptech, healthtech, agritech, cleantech, fintech, mobility and software as a service (SaaS). The seventh edition of the Huddle Global will showcase Kerala as a highly promising global technology destination, powered by its robust innovation zone. Organised by KSUM, Huddle Global 2025 will see the convergence of startups, investors, innovators, policymakers and visionaries from India and abroad. The festival will spotlight futuristic sectors, including artificial intelligence (AI), fintech, blockchain, healthtech, life sciences, augmented/virtual reality, spacetech, e-governance, and internet of things (IoT). Startups in these sectors will exhibit breakthrough ideas and gain opportunities for real-time investor feedback, pilot funding and global market exposure.
