Thanks to the collaboration between Clearstream and Icapital, the private market investment opportunities available on the Icapital Marketplace–a platform connecting wealth managers with alternative investments from global asset managers–will also be accessible via Clearstream Fund Centre and Clearstream Vestima platforms, the firms announced in a published on 14 February 2024.
“By strengthening our partnership with Icapital, we are reinforcing our value proposition to asset managers and distributors, providing them with a dedicated platform to centralise and facilitate safe access across all asset classes–including private market assets,” said Philippe Seyll, head of Clearstream Fund Services. “With our ecosystem of scalable, secure, and integrated distribution and processing solutions, we are committed to supporting both ends of the distribution chain with data and services.”
Clearstream and Icapital will also increase the integration of their technology to streamline processes for investing in private markets, thus helping to meet the private wealth sector’s appetite for private market investments, said the press release.

The partnership “will contribute to our mission to power the world’s alternative investment marketplace and enable wealth managers to access the growth and diversification opportunities that private markets can offer as alternative investments increasingly become a core component of a balanced portfolio.”
€10bn of Icapital funds are already invested through Clearstream, noted the firms. The expanded partnership will make the offering available to the Clearstream Fund Services ecosystem of over 450 distributors, while Icapital’s marketplace users will also be able to integrate into Clearstream’s custody and distribution services.
