Commodity leaders expect the U.S. to prevail in the Mexico corn ban dispute.
An update was provided on the situation at the Wisconsin’s Corn-Soy-Pork Expo from the National Corn Growers Association. The group shared the dispute panel process under the USMCA agreement is ongoing and that Canada has sided with the United States.
The hope is to have the situation resolved by this fall, and the results look promising for the United States. The Association says we have the treaty, the law, and science on our side.
The U.S. Grains Council also provided a glimmer of hope to the case saying there has not been any trade disruptions as a result of this action.
