Jamie Austin leads BDO’s Private Equity practice worldwide

BDO has announced the appointment of Jamie Austin as its new head of global private equity. Austin has served with the firm for more than 15 years.

Commenting on his appointment, Jamie Austin said, “This is an exciting era for private equity with great opportunities for growth. Through innovation and collaboration, I’m looking forward to developing and empowering our team to continually strive for excellence and strengthen our position in the market.”

Based in the UK, Austin brings a wealth of experience to the role. Prior to joining BDO, he accrued more than 11 years of client experience with EY, focusing particularly on deal advisory services during his spell with the Big Four firm. He became a director with EY, before moving to BDO in 2011. He arrived as a partner in a team of around 120 corporate finance professionals across the UK, and 500 globally.

Austin has been a member of BDO’s global private equity leadership team since its inception. In his new role, he will continue to lead BDO’s commitment to deliver a full range of services to private equity funds and their portfolio companies.
